BIRDS AND BORDERS
I
My friend, I cry the same tears
That fill your eyes with deep sadness.
I sing the same song
That yield the words of a forgotten memory.
I live the same life
That breaks moments into darkness and light.
I long for the same tune
That you search for in all your dreams.
To say I love you
Is to say I love me.
And yet, in flashes of brightened colours,
I see your nakedness, parallel to mine.
Born on the same spirit,
Sustained of the same life,
And ordained back to the same Beginning.
Yes, I search for the same
And never will I say “YOU”
Till the fleeting shadow of Life
Answers my question – why? how?
For no more can I live the love of thousand generations
That have long since perished.
No more, can I live to give, what you already have,
That you have discovered,
Or shall do so.
No more shall I make a love
Guaranteed to break,
As the winds wash a broken hillside
To mere dust.
Too many plays,
Too many chapters,
And too many phases,
All but part of Maya’s Nature,
Pruning everyone for that Sacred Ceremony.
Listen my friend, I can only afford you a smile
And a look of emptiness
Of the lonely years.

Yes, my friend,
The song we sing together
Is the breathing of the Cosmic Love!
Our souls melted in the pot of the Friendship
That links us with invisible vibrations,
And our bodies house identical hopes.
Our eyes see different worlds,
But they look at the same direction.
Our mouths do not say equal words,
But their meanings come from only one source.
Our hands do not hold the same offers,
But they beg for the same needs.
Our feet belong to their own roads,
But they have no more than one Destiny.
Yes, my friend,
We are birds flying over the borders,
Since we broke the cages of our fears,
And decided to share the skies of ourselves!
